CJ Slash Commercial Cattle is a working cattle ranch, operating in and near the White River National Forest at Meeker, Colorado. Meeker is a small community in the Northwest Corner of Colorado, 75 miles West of Steamboat Springs and 120 miles north and west of Aspen and Vail. Meeker was the original “Best Kept Secret” in the Rocky Mountains, the gateway into the White River National Forest and the Flattop Wilderness area, it offers the true beauty and majesty of the mountains as we visualize them in our minds eye; Aspen tree stands surrounding mountain meadows with running water or high mountain lakes.
The way to truly see this country is horseback, we are very fortunate in that we get to start our days horseback, whether it is to check and move cattle or ride the mountain forest permit, we do it on a horse. This lets us do our work with the quiet of an animal, not the rustle of a machine. We would like to share that with you and your family or friends.
